Software Engineer, New Grad - Infrastructure

Build and improve large-scale infrastructure platforms supporting Palantir products and developer workflows. The role is suited to a new graduate with an engineering background, programming experience, and familiarity with cloud, storage, frontend, and infrastructure technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain large-scale infrastructure supporting Palantir Foundry, Palantir Gotham, and Palantir Apollo.
  • Contribute to shared infrastructure and internal infrastructure products used in sensitive public-sector and commercial environments.
  • Improve engineering velocity and quality across infrastructure systems.
  • Build tools and platforms for developers and end users.
  • Work across infrastructure areas including backend, developer, frontend, and storage infrastructure.
  • Contribute to Kubernetes-based platform infrastructure, secure deployment and change management, and observability and alerting systems.
  • Investigate open-source libraries such as Cassandra and Chromium to understand behavior or debug issues.
  • Collaborate with engineers, users, and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, frontend frameworks, and other technical tools.
  • Experience coding in Java, C++, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar languages.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.
  • Willingness to learn, make decisions independently, and ask effective questions.
  • Interest in current industry practices and open-source technology.
