Lead and mentor a team of level designers to create compelling environments and encounters for Last Epoch. Drive creative vision, establish workflows, and collaborate with art, narrative, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of level designers, fostering collaboration and professional development
- Drive the creative vision and execution of levels, ensuring they support gameplay, narrative, and artistic goals
- Work closely with environment artists, narrative designers, and systems designers to deliver cohesive experiences
- Review and provide feedback on level layouts, encounter balance, and worldbuilding consistency
- Ensure all levels meet performance, quality, and accessibility standards
- Contribute hands-on to level blockouts, encounter scripting, and gameplay prototyping
- Establish and refine level design workflows, pipelines, and best practices for scalability and efficiency
- Collaborate with production to scope, schedule, and track level design deliverables
- Advocate for player experience, ensuring levels feel engaging, rewarding, and true to the vision of the game
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional level design experience in the game industry, with at least 2+ years in a lead or senior design role
- Track record of shipping at least one title in a senior or leadership capacity
- Understanding of encounter design, pacing, and player progression
- Experience working with level design tools in engines such as Unity or Unreal
- Collaborative mindset with experience guiding cross-disciplinary teams (art, design, and engineering)
- Communication and documentation skills in a remote-first environment
- Problem-solving and organizational skills
Nice-to-Haves
- Familiarity with ARPGs, live-service pipelines, and multi-team collaboration
