Associate General Counsel

Responsibilities

• Be a strategic partner across Stedi, using legal and regulatory expertise to further business interests, accelerate deals, and remove blockers.
• Partner closely with the Head of Legal to handle all of Stedi’s legal needs.
• Own customer contracting from first redline through signature, working to automate all but the most complex edge cases.
• Drive payer trading partner agreements and key vendor agreements to close quickly while maintaining rigorous compliance standards.
• Serve as Product Counsel for engineers and PMs building innovative offerings in a highly regulated environment.
• Improve, expand, and automate playbooks and workflows.
• Take on new areas based on interest and business needs.

Requirements

• Bar-admitted and ready to take on a role with broad ownership.
• Healthcare experience, whether through BigLaw or in-house (lived experience in the regulatory and commercial complexity of healthcare infrastructure, payers, providers, or healthtech is ideal).
• Ability to explain complex issues in plain language, write clearly, and communicate confidently with executives, lawyers, regulators, procurement staff, engineers, and everyone in between.
• Comfortable with high-volume work and shifting priorities while maintaining high quality through effective systems and habits.
• Thrive in ambiguity, create structure from chaos, and independently design scalable processes from scratch.
• Business acumen to blend legal rigor with strategic persuasion.
• Relentless, resourceful, professional, and operate with integrity.
• Move fast with precision in an environment where clarity, accountability, and urgency matter.

Compensation

The annual compensation range for this role is $250K-325K (OTE inclusive of base and bonus).
