Serve as primary marketing lead for key partners: build relationships, guide programs from opportunity through strategy, negotiation, development, and execution.
Shape strategic and creative vision for partnerships, developing distinctive programs, campaigns, content, events, experiences, and activations.
Collaborate with Partnerships, Brand, Creative, Communications, Global Affairs, Research, Legal, and regional teams.
Define OpenAI's role across culture in entertainment, sports, design, education, science, arts, and other relevant areas.
Identify and cultivate relationships with influential individuals and institutions.
Develop partnership narratives and value propositions.
Protect brand integrity with principles for partner selection, creative development, and execution.
Create scalable frameworks for identifying, evaluating, prioritizing, and managing partnerships.
Define success measures using audience, brand, cultural, and engagement signals.
Translate cultural trends, audience insights, and performance into strategy recommendations.
Requirements
12+ years of experience in brand partnerships, cultural marketing, strategic partnerships, integrated marketing, entertainment or sports marketing, or related field.
Proven track record developing partnerships that strengthened a brand’s cultural relevance, expanded reach, or built credibility.
Strong cultural fluency and clear point of view on people, institutions, platforms, and ideas shaping culture.
Excellent brand judgment to assess opportunities on values alignment, audience relevance, authenticity, creative potential, and long-term impact.
Skilled at identifying opportunities and turning ideas into compelling strategies and programs.
Experience developing campaigns, content, events, experiences, and activations with external partners.
Ability to build trusted relationships with influential individuals, creators, organizations, and institutions.
Skill in translating OpenAI’s mission, values, and work into authentic partnership ideas.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable influencing senior stakeholders.
