Senior QA Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end test strategy across the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Build and maintain automated test coverage using established open-source testing tools.
• Write clear, maintainable test cases and test plans.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines so they run on meaningful changes.
• Plan and execute integration, system, regression, stress, load, and performance testing.
• Partner with developers to define acceptance criteria and shift testing left.
• Triage failures, lead root-cause analysis for escaped defects, and drive durable fixes.
• Report actionable quality metrics, including coverage, flake rate, and escaped defects.

Requirements

• Strong test automation skills and experience designing test strategies.
• Deep practical understanding of the SDLC and testing at each stage.
• Proven experience writing test cases and test plans.
• Hands-on experience with integration, system, regression, stress, load, and performance testing.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong experience with Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Familiarity with open-source testing tools.

Nice to Have

• Playwright or Cypress for end-to-end testing.
• pytest for unit and integration testing.
• k6 or Locust for load and stress testing.
• Experience testing cloud or containerized workloads, including Kubernetes.
• Experience producing test evidence for SOC 2 or similar compliance programs.
• Experience in enterprise or regulated environments.
• Experience owning a broad testing surface in an early-stage environment.
