Reddit Community Manager
Own OpenArt’s Reddit presence as a growth channel, building its subreddit, engaging broader communities, running experiments, and converting conversations into users and advocates. The role requires deep Reddit knowledge, strong natural English, generative AI familiarity, and a highly self-directed growth mindset.

Responsibilities
- Own Reddit strategy, execution, and results as a measurable growth channel.
- Build and grow OpenArt’s subreddit and broader presence across relevant AI, video, filmmaking, design, advertising, and creator communities.
- Set growth goals and run experiments across content, distribution, community programs, organic acquisition, and user acquisition.
- Create recurring formats, challenges, showcases, discussions, AMAs, competitions, and other community programs.
- Encourage users to share AI-generated work and workflows; develop advocates and improve participation and retention.
- Moderate the community while maintaining an authentic, non-corporate tone.
- Build relationships with moderators, creators, power users, and relevant communities.
- Monitor Reddit conversations, sentiment, feature requests, competitors, emerging AI tools, models, workflows, and use cases.
- Report actionable insights to product, growth, and marketing teams.
- Track reach, engagement, community growth, traffic, signups, active members, retention, and user acquisition; scale successful tactics.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of Reddit culture, communities, humor, norms, and effective participation.
- Experience growing communities, audiences, social accounts, or organic acquisition channels.
- Growth-oriented and highly experimental, with the ability to launch, measure, and iterate quickly.
- Excellent natural English writing and communication skills.
- Understanding of generative AI and ongoing interest in the space.
- Self-directed, fast-moving, and comfortable taking ownership without constant direction.
- Ability to build a community or channel from zero.
Nice-to-haves
- Personally grown a subreddit or Reddit account.
- Built an online community from scratch.
- Grown an organic channel with measurable traffic or user acquisition.
- Familiarity with AI image or video creation tools.
- Understanding of Reddit search, Google search visibility, and content discovery beyond Reddit.
- Experience with creators, ambassadors, affiliates, or user-generated-content programs.
- Ability to analyze community and content performance.
- Ability to create simple memes, graphics, GIFs, or videos.
- Experience using AI tools to work more efficiently.
