Staff Product Manager, Infrastructure & AI Dev Tools

Responsibilities

• Define and execute long-term product strategy for Docker's internal developer platform and AI developer tooling, spanning infrastructure, self-service, CI/CD, and AI-powered/agentic workflows.
• Drive an integrated roadmap balancing foundational platform investments with AI-native capabilities.
• Treat the internal platform as a product: define golden paths, paved roads, self-service capabilities, contracts, defaults, and documentation to enable teams with minimal friction.
• Shape AI and agentic workflows across the SDLC, from code authoring to incident response, with focus on safe, auditable automation.
• Identify internal tools/platform capabilities ready for customer-facing productization; own strategy from prototype to GA, including positioning and packaging.
• Build relationships with product/engineering leaders; influence roadmaps by articulating constraints, trade-offs, and opportunities.
• Define and track key metrics: platform adoption, reduction in toil/support load, provisioning/deployment speed, reliability, and developer productivity.
• Partner with engineering, security, design, GTM, and customers to align platform strategy with business objectives.

Requirements

• 10+ years of product management experience, with 4+ years at Staff level or above.
• Proven track record building/scaling platform, infrastructure, or developer-tooling products at high-growth tech companies.
• Strong technical acumen to engage in discussions on Kubernetes, CI/CD, networking, APIs, and observability.
• Deep understanding of platform-as-a-product principles: self-service, golden paths, developer experience, adoption over mandate.
• Fluency with AI and agentic workflows, including hands-on familiarity with LLM-powered tooling or AI agents.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence without authority in a technical, remote-first organization.
• Strategic thinking balancing long-term vision with near-term needs.
• Clear written/verbal communication.

Nice-to-Haves

• Prior experience as infrastructure, platform, or developer-tools PM at B2B SaaS or developer-tools company.
• Background in software engineering, SRE, solutions architecture, or technical product management.
• Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure (multi-tenant Kubernetes/EKS, multi-region networking, Terraform, GitOps, progressive delivery) and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• Track record productizing internal platforms/tools into commercial offerings.
• Understanding of enterprise requirements (security, compliance, audit).
