Responsibilities

Develop and maintain mobile client components that capture and report listening and user behavior signals across Spotify.
Build high-quality, well-tested, and well-documented Kotlin code for business-critical datasets used in royalty reporting, analytics, experimentation, and personalization.
Collaborate with engineers across Android, iOS, backend, and data teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Improve the architecture, reliability, and quality of systems used to collect and process user behavior signals.
Develop capabilities for capturing richer listening and engagement signals across evolving product experiences.
Drive technical improvements that help teams add, validate, and maintain event-reporting integrations.
Use modern AI-assisted engineering tools and workflows to improve productivity and software quality.
Contribute to continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence.

Requirements

Experience developing Android and iOS applications using Kotlin, Swift, or Objective-C.
Experience as an Engineer I.
Ability to build maintainable, scalable, and well-tested software systems.
Comfort working within large codebases and learning unfamiliar domains and technologies.
Experience collaborating with engineers and stakeholders across multiple teams.
Commitment to code quality, testing, documentation, and long-term maintainability.
Curiosity, ownership, and willingness to work outside an immediate area of expertise.
Familiarity with modern development tooling, including AI-assisted coding solutions.
Experience with instrumentation, telemetry, event collection, or large-scale client-side data systems.
Experience working on mobile applications with significant scale and reliability requirements.

C++ experience and understanding of native-code integration with Android and iOS applications.
Familiarity with SQL, analytics systems, or data engineering concepts.
