- Define simulation requirements.
- Develop performant mathematical models of robots, manipulators, and operating environments.
- Balance model fidelity with computational complexity.
- Integrate simulation-based assessment into scalable CI/CD pipelines.
- Make simulation an integral part of design, development, and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with Simulation, Motion Planning & Controls, Field Operations, and Intelligence teams.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or a related discipline.
- Experience with mathematical modeling of complex dynamic systems.
- Ability to own and drive a large, strategically important development project.
- Willingness to support other teams during tight deadlines and problem-solving efforts.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with robotic simulation environments, including Isaac Sim.
- Experience with applied optimization.
- Experience modeling mechanical contact.
- Experience creating detailed 3D world models.
- Experience with GPU acceleration of physics simulations.
- Experience deploying numerically intensive simulations to cloud computing platforms.
- Experience integrating simulation tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience creating simulation test cases from real-world data.
- Experience with simulation for hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) testing.
