What you'll do
- Assist in the design and development of learning programs, courses, and resources under the guidance of senior team members
- Apply foundational instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles to help create engaging learning experiences
- Support the translation of content from subject matter experts into clear, accessible, and impactful learning materials
- Contribute to the production of high-quality video learning content, including assisting with scripting, storyboarding, and basic editing using AI-driven and traditional tools
- Support the administration of learning initiatives, including testing digital content, deploying surveys, and tracking engagement metrics
- Help maintain and organize learning assets, toolkits, and job aids to ensure accessibility and alignment with L&D strategy
- Participate in the evaluation of learning effectiveness by gathering feedback and analyzing learner data to identify areas for improvement
- Stay current on learning technologies, AI tools, and L&D trends to bring fresh perspectives to the team
- Prepare for the implementation of a new LMS within Workday by auditing existing content and partnering with SMEs to verify or iterate upon key learning pathways
What we're looking for
- 1+ years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or related fields
- Understanding of adult learning theory and basic instructional design models
- Basic proficiency with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Rise 360, Articulate, Synthesia or similar)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to support multiple projects simultaneously and meet SLA expectations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative mindset and desire to learn
- Comfort with G Suite tools and a quick learner when it comes to new HR/LMS technology platforms
- Experience leveraging AI tools to transform static workflows into responsive, high-output processes
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, or a related field
- Familiarity with creating multimedia or video-based content, including interest in or exposure to AI-enabled content creation tools
Compensation
The anticipated base salary for this position is $80,000 to $90,000 annually. Base salary is one component of Metropolis' total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock option plan, bonus plans, and more.
