About the role
Responsibilities
Design, test, and validate electrical systems, including power distribution, control circuits, and signal conditioning for robotic factories.
Select and integrate motors, sensors, actuators, PLCs, and other electrical and electronic components for reliability and performance.
Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and harness designs.
Establish standards for electrical documentation and best practices.
Troubleshoot electrical issues in factory and field deployments while collaborating with mechanical and software teams on system integration.
Scale electrical systems from design through manufacturing and deployment.
Requirements
Strong electrical engineering experience with hands-on skills in power systems, control systems, and industrial automation.
Ability to read and create electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams.
Proficiency with CAD tools for electrical design.
Experience specifying and integrating motors, drives, sensors, relays, and PLCs.
Understanding of electrical codes and safety standards.
Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Based in or able to relocate to the SF Bay Area and available to work 4–5 days per week from the San Leandro headquarters.
Nice-to-haves
Experience with high-power electrical systems, motion control, or industrial robotics.
Four-year degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
Familiarity with Python or other programming languages for testing and automation.
