Member of Technical Staff, Mercor Enterprise Platform
Build and operate Mercor’s enterprise agent platform across security, routing, isolated execution, orchestration, deployment, and production scalability. The role requires 5+ years building high-scale platforms, architectural ownership, and experience with core infrastructure primitives across multiple clouds.
About the job
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate platform services for authentication and authorization, credential brokering, routing, sandboxing, and orchestration.
- Design interfaces for engineers building agents and maintain an easy-to-follow paved path.
- Build an event-driven backbone with idempotent ingestion that supports horizontal scaling.
- Own deployment models across hosted offerings, customer VPCs, and multi-cloud environments without bespoke builds.
- Enforce tenant isolation so runs cannot exceed their own access or quotas.
- Own latency, throughput, cost per run, and production debugging as volume grows.
- Set technical direction for owned platform areas and partner with Applied AI engineers on deployment challenges.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building high-scale, complex software systems.
- Experience building and operating platforms used by other engineers, including making architectural decisions.
- Hands-on experience with several of the following across more than one cloud: authentication and authorization, secrets, isolation, orchestration, egress, and durable state.
- Demonstrated ability to improve system speed and cost after initial launch.
- Ability to work independently on ambiguous, loosely specified problems.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with LLM applications, agent frameworks or harnesses, evaluations, or deployed software.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $130,000–$500,000.
- Up to $15,000 relocation bonus.
- $10,000 housing bonus for employees living within 0.5 miles of the office.
