Product Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own and scale the Go services behind the E2B Dashboard and SDK, including APIs, data models, and contracts for the frontend.
• Design and implement auth/authorization, billing, and usage-metering surfaces.
• Build real-time backends using WebSockets and SSE to feed sandbox logs and metrics to the dashboard.
• Optimize data access and server-side performance, including query design, caching, and response times.
• Partner closely with dashboard engineers to ship features end-to-end, and with Core/Platform teams on product-infrastructure boundaries.
• Make architectural decisions around observability, testing, and security best practices.
• Take projects from 0 to 1 with high ownership and autonomy for backend and product decisions.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years shipping production backend services with deep expertise in Go.
• Strong API design skills with REST/RPC, contracts, versioning, and focus on frontend interfaces.
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, migrations, and reasoning about data at scale.
• Strong backend fundamentals: authentication/authorization, server-side performance, and building real-time data flows (WebSockets, SSE).
• Working competence in TypeScript (Next.js is a plus); ability to work in the Next.js app-router frontend to wire up features end-to-end.
• Understanding of data fetching patterns on the frontend side.
• Ownership mentality with ability to see projects through from conception to launch to iteration.
• Comfortable talking to customers and explaining technical tradeoffs.
• Great communication, curiosity, and interest in the AI space.
• Excited to work in person on a devtool product.
