Staff Engineer, Consumer Foundations

Responsibilities

• Own and architect the systems behind our consumer applications, including how we model and store patient data.
• Define the strategy for critical data flows with accuracy and auditability as first-order requirements.
• Ship features for pricing, cost-estimation, and shoppable services, supporting current and future use cases.
• Be a trusted partner to product and engineering leads, aligning roadmaps, technical tradeoffs, and cross-team dependencies.
• Direct and level up others, keeping a high engineering bar.

Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering experience, primarily in Python, building systems and services to power consumer products.
• Early-stage or high-growth startup experience, comfortable with ambiguity and a fast pace, having built 0-1 and knowing when to harden what’s there.
• A track record of taking ownership and driving successful outcomes on high-stakes, company-critical problems.
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting to peers and executives alike.
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
