What You'll Do
- Develop novel machine learning methods and contribute to the research agenda of the team.
- Identify areas for innovation using insights from Roboflow's userbase in computer vision applications.
- Create novel approaches that generalize across diverse data, run efficiently on different hardware, and solve unique problems.
- Write papers aimed at top conferences (CVPR, NeurIPS, ICLR, etc.).
- Translate research methods into production systems running at scale.
Who You Are (Requirements)
- Masters / PhD in AI, machine learning, computer vision, robotics, or similar technical field, or equivalent industry experience.
- History of publication at conferences / journals (CVPR, NeurIPS, ICLR, etc.).
- Proficient in Python.
- Values scientific rigour, reproducibility, and high quality software.
- Passionate about computer vision and solving problems users value.
- Pragmatic approach to utility in practice.
Preferred
- Previous experience with both optimizing models for edge hardware and training models on distributed infrastructure.
- Expertise in PyTorch.
Compensation
- Target base salary: $168,000 - $255,000 (based on location and level).
- Additional perks: $4000/yr travel stipend, up to 100% health insurance coverage, $350/mo productivity stipend, $350/mo AI stipend, $500 home office stipend, $150/mo team lunch stipend, unlimited PTO (min 2 weeks), 12 weeks parental leave, equity.
