Strategic Finance Lead

What You’ll Own

• The Financial Stack: End-to-end management of banking, invoicing, bookkeeping, and FP&A
• The Close: Own month-end and year-end close, ensuring books are pristine by the 15th of each month
• Operations & RevOps: Heavily support the Sales team by driving RevOps efforts and integrating systems (e.g., HubSpot to Stripe, Stripe to QuickBooks)
• Reporting: Track and improve collections rate, budget vs. actuals (BVA), and departmental purchase request turnaround
• External Relations: Serve as the professional face of Metriport to accountants, investors, vendors, and customers

Requirements

• 5+ years in Investment Banking, MBB Consulting, or a high-growth startup (Seed to Series B)
• 2+ years of experience creating processes from scratch and improving existing processes
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative field
• Expert-level Excel and Google Sheets skills; PowerPoint skills to distill complex data into clear narratives
• Thrive in fast-paced environments and drive projects to completion without a playbook
• Based in San Francisco with 5-day-a-week in-office presence
• Low ego, high ownership mindset

Bonus Points

• Experience automating workflows via Zapier or Python script
• Proficiency with QuickBooks, Brex or Ramp, Stripe, and CRMs
• Experience in Healthcare IT or Healthtech space

• Books closed by the 15th
• Collections rate exceeding target threshold
• Tight delta between budget and actuals
• Reduction of "work about work" via better processes
