About the role

Research Design & Scientific Inquiry

  • Design and execute systematic research studies on employee experience, manager effectiveness, and organizational health
  • Generate and test hypotheses about people programs, employee behavior, and workforce outcomes using experimental and quasi-experimental methods
  • Conduct longitudinal studies tracking employee cohorts and impact of initiatives
  • Perform meta-analyses of people interventions to identify best practices
  • Navigate research ethics with employee data

Employee Listening & Survey Research

  • Design, analyze, and iterate on engagement, pulse, and lifecycle surveys
  • Apply psychometric methods to validate survey instruments
  • Translate findings into strategic recommendations for organizational change

Manager Research & Organizational Effectiveness

  • Research manager behaviors, competencies, and impact on team outcomes
  • Build measurement frameworks for manager effectiveness programs
  • Study organizational dynamics including team composition and collaboration patterns

Visualization & Communication

  • Build visualizations and dashboards for complex findings
  • Present research to senior leadership with actionable recommendations
  • Develop self-service analytics for People team partners

Minimum Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in I/O Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Behavioral Science, or related field
  • Experience with experimental design, hypothesis testing, longitudinal methods, and causal inference
  • Comfortable with People Analytics tech stack and collaborating with data engineers
  • Proficient in SQL and Python/R for statistical analysis and machine learning
  • Experience with survey design, psychometric methods, and employee listening
  • Experience with data visualization and storytelling
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills
  • Thrive in ambiguity, balance rigor with pragmatism
  • Track record of challenging assumptions with data
  • Navigate sensitive topics diplomatically
  • Intellectual humility and comfort with iterative discovery

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years in research, people analytics, or quantitative fields
  • Background in people analytics
  • Experience with employee engagement or pulse surveys
  • Deep knowledge of manager effectiveness and organizational science
  • Experience building self-service analytics tools or dashboards
  • Understanding of employee lifecycle metrics and KPIs
  • Experience in high-growth tech or AI/ML organizations
  • Familiarity with network analysis, NLP, or advanced statistical methods
  • Experience with BigQuery, Qualtrics, Workday
