Responsibilities

Lead applied research on AI agents and LLM-driven features in the Wiz platform, including autonomous threat investigation agents and AI-powered security operations workflows.
Leverage LLMs to improve customer investigation experiences and develop novel AI applications for cloud security.
Collaborate with engineering teams to design, build, and maintain production pipelines.
Work with Security Research and Product teams to define research goals.
Conduct experiments and evaluate AI models, algorithms, and techniques using real-world datasets and simulated environments.
Stay current with AI methodologies, frameworks, and tools and apply them to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of security solutions.

Requirements

M.S. or Ph.D. in computer science, statistics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience leading data science and machine learning projects, including significant hands-on experience building LLM-based applications or AI agents.
Practical experience with LLMs, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, model selection, and evaluating trade-offs across providers and model families.
Experience with distributed cloud systems and cloud-native architectures at scale.
Strong knowledge of deep learning models and common architectures such as transformers.
Python programming experience and familiarity with AI frameworks such as Hugging Face, LangChain, OpenAI, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and develop creative solutions to challenging problems.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
