Research Advisor - Human Frontier Collective

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior-level consultancy and leadership on model behavior and domain-specific logic, establishing benchmarks for professional integrity.
  • Partner with Scale AI’s product, research, delivery, and go-to-market teams to design sophisticated tasks that translate expert intuition into rigorous frameworks for frontier model evaluation.
  • Represent Scale AI and the Human Frontier Collective as a subject-matter expert during sales cycles, executive meetings, and conferences.
  • Create technical content and strategic go-to-market assets.
  • Collaborate with Scale AI’s research team to co-author technical reports and research papers.
  • Participate in the Human Frontier Collective’s interdisciplinary research community.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience and strong, top-tier domain knowledge.
  • Proven ability to operate at the top of a field and apply deep expertise in high-impact, real-world environments across finance, legal, medical, or related fields.
  • Research experience, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience with AI tools and technologies.
  • Interest in interdisciplinary AI applications.
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about applied AI research.
  • Relevant professional background may include senior finance professionals, legal partners or senior counsel, former SCOTUS or federal clerks, or board-certified physicians.
  • Educational background may include a bachelor’s, master’s, PhD, MD/DO, or JD degree, together with significant clinical, legal, or financial practice experience.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Part-time contract opportunity requiring approximately 5–20 hours per week.
