General Manager

The General Manager will lead Sardine’s Mexico market strategy, revenue growth, customer success, and strategic partnerships. The role requires 8+ years in fintech, payments, or fraud/risk technology, a strong Mexican market network, and fluency in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

  • Define and prioritize Mexico market-entry and expansion priorities based on regulatory readiness, fraud landscape, and addressable market.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, Account Management, Customer Success, and Partnerships to develop market-specific and go-to-market strategies.
  • Influence regional organizational planning and support hiring as the Mexico business scales.
  • Accelerate Mexico ARR and new-logo acquisition by supporting strategic sales opportunities and providing fraud expertise.
  • Establish operational playbooks for entering, scaling, and retaining customers in Mexico.
  • Build strategic relationships with Mexican banks, payment networks such as SPEI and CoDi, regulators, and system integrators.
  • Partner with Account Management on strategic enterprise accounts, executive business reviews, and expansion opportunities.
  • Represent Mexican customers by translating feedback, fraud trends, and regional requirements into product and market strategy.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in go-to-market, general management, or leadership within fintech, payments, or fraud/risk technology.
  • Direct exposure to the Mexican market and an established network across Mexican banks, payment networks, regulators, and system integrators.
  • Proven record of driving revenue growth and developing go-to-market strategy in a new or scaling market.
  • Deep understanding of Mexico’s regulatory, compliance, and fraud landscape.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership experience across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Willingness to travel within the region as needed.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Mexico’s financial infrastructure and payment networks, including SPEI and CoDi.
