About the role
Responsibilities
Drive the pod's technical direction as the primary technical lead, setting the technical roadmap and making architectural and prioritization decisions.
Lead the technical design and delivery of new MSK programs, building differentiated features and workflows.
Improve the reliability, performance, and quality of newly launched programs as they scale.
Extend shared services using NestJS, React Native, and PostgreSQL to support new programs.
Partner with Product to translate program strategy into technical plans and surface trade-offs.
Coordinate with engineers across partner teams to deliver cohesive member experiences.
Champion CI/CD, testing, and monitoring practices.
Mentor engineers and raise team engineering standards.
Requirements
4+ years of non-internship, full-time professional software engineering experience.
2+ years of TypeScript/JavaScript experience across the stack, including Node.js/NestJS and React or React Native.
2+ years of experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and containerization tools.
2+ years of experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, distributed systems, and microservices architectures.
3+ years of mentoring or leading engineers and collaborating across cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-haves
Direct NestJS experience.
Mobile application development experience, including React Native.
Experience shipping products or features requiring ongoing coordination across multiple engineering teams.
Healthcare, HIPAA, or other regulated-industry experience involving sensitive member data.
Experience setting architecture, sequencing work, and leading a team's technical direction without formal people-management responsibility.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary range: $192,000–$264,000.
