Responsibilities
- Experiment, create prototypes, and refine work based on user feedback, industry standards, and business needs.
- Collaborate across functions with Product Management, Hardware, and Production teams.
- Design and develop experiences using native and cross-platform technologies.
- Develop software for embedded hardware platforms.
- Build integrations between software platforms and YubiKey devices.
- Develop internal tools used during the YubiKey manufacturing process.
- Use GitHub for source management and review, Jira for task management, and Confluence for internal documentation.
- Write software primarily in C/C++.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a relevant technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Experience developing embedded software or firmware.
- Familiarity with Windows or Linux system internals and services, including synchronization primitives, efficient file system access, and logging facilities.
- Proven experience building software with C/C++.
- Comfort with bit manipulation and binary arithmetic.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience building applications that use background services and tasks.
- Experience building desktop applications on Windows.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary range: $175,000–$200,000 USD.
