Responsibilities
- Build high-quality features for a large-scale gaming platform and Electron application.
- Develop primarily with React and iterate quickly on new product experiences.
- Work directly with leadership and the gaming community to ship features regularly.
- Own end-to-end quality of complex features with strong attention to detail.
- Profile and optimize production code performance.
- Use A/B testing, usage metrics, and feature performance data to guide decisions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of frontend engineering experience.
- Strong experience with React, Redux, Node.js, Electron, and modern JavaScript practices.
- Excellent understanding of production code performance and profiling tools.
- Ability to take ownership and deliver results in a fast-moving environment.
- Passion for games and gaming communities; experience using Discord and similar products.
- Ability to work in person in New York City five days per week.
Nice-to-haves
- Full-stack experience with Java, C#, and C++.
- Experience working on gaming-related projects.
Compensation
- Annual salary: $180,000–$275,000.
