Corporate Accounting Lead

Leads global corporate accounting close activities, accounting policy, audit readiness, and scalable process automation while managing corporate and shared-services teams. Requires public or pre-IPO technology-company experience, Big Four and in-house accounting background, US GAAP expertise, and a CPA license.

Responsibilities

  • Own the global monthly and quarterly close for payroll and benefits, accounts payable, and operating expenses under US GAAP.
  • Partner with FP&A, Revenue Operations, Financial Reporting, Tax, Treasury, IT, Sales Operations, and Global Workplace Services to close accurately and on time.
  • Operate and maintain accounting systems, keeping payroll and expense data clean and audit-ready as transaction volume scales.
  • Write and defend accounting memos for ambiguous transactions and reach defensible US GAAP conclusions.
  • Lead and mentor the corporate accounting and offshore shared services teams.
  • Build scalable accounting processes for headcount and transaction growth.
  • Develop the automation and AI roadmap to reduce manual close work.
  • Own SOX and internal-controls readiness for internal and external audits.

Requirements

  • Experience leading or being a senior driver of global monthly and quarterly close processes at a high-growth public or pre-IPO software or technology company.
  • Experience across Big Four public accounting and in-house corporate accounting, including work within a broader Chief Accounting Officer organization.
  • Experience writing accounting memos for ambiguous, judgment-heavy transactions and defending conclusions with external auditors.
  • Experience operating a close that meets SOX and Big Four external-audit requirements.
  • Experience using AI or automation to reduce manual accounting work.
  • Experience managing executives and mentoring accounting teams, including offshore shared services teams.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite, VisualLease, Zip, Navan, or Brex.
  • SEC reporting exposure at a public company.
  • CPA license.

Compensation

  • Annual salary range: $188,000–$254,000.
