Responsibilities

  • Lead development of next-generation data center reference architectures integrating electrical, mechanical, thermal, and compute domains.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies through full-system lens, assessing integration and scalability from prototype to production.
  • Define systems-level architecture for infrastructure layer interfaces and co-optimization.
  • Guide technologies from evaluation and bench-scale testing through pilot deployment and hyperscale rollout.
  • Author system specifications, interface control documents, and design standards.
  • Partner with engineering teams to align R&D outputs with production needs.
  • Build relationships with vendors, startups, OEMs, and research groups for technology access.

Requirements

  • 15+ years progressive engineering experience in data center design, hyperscale computing, or industrial power systems.
  • Systems thinking across electrical power, mechanical/thermal, compute, and facility design.
  • Working knowledge of power generation/distribution, cooling technologies (incl. direct liquid cooling), data center facility design, compute/networking.
  • Experience leading technology evaluations, feasibility studies, architectural explorations.
  • Authored system-level architecture documents and integration standards.
  • Cross-functional leadership influencing teams without direct authority.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or related.
