Trust & Safety Investigator II

Investigates trust and safety issues while managing legal requests, anti-abuse operations, and sensitive escalations. The role requires 3–5 years of relevant ISP or hosting-provider experience, DNS knowledge, and strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the efficient and compliant handling of legal requests, including requests for information, subpoenas, and court orders.
  • Deliver operations seamlessly and on time against service-level agreements (SLAs), while maintaining stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Partner with Policy, Legal, and Product teams to ensure processes are scalable.
  • Handle sensitive content and emotionally charged escalations with tact and composure.
  • Participate in rotating weekend and off-hours coverage.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of anti-abuse or support-escalation experience at an internet service provider or hosting provider.
  • Working knowledge of DNS and how the internet works.
  • Experience working with lawyers and legal teams on document-production requests.
  • Experience interacting with law-enforcement individuals and agencies.
  • Experience managing sensitive content and emotionally charged escalations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of legal considerations related to hosted material, including notice and takedown.
  • Familiarity with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), copyright, and trademark issues.
  • Experience working with Security teams on threat identification and disruption.
  • Experience with compliance, sanctions, and similar regulatory regimes.
