Accounts Receivable Specialist

About the role

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact within accounting for customer-related inquiries.
  • Serve as the accounting point of contact for Stripe and Fazeshift, the billing and collections platforms.
  • Answer internal questions and customer inquiries through email, phone, Slack, and Zendesk.
  • Follow up with delinquent customers and write off uncollectible accounts.
  • Collect sales tax exemption forms from qualifying customers.
  • Assist with monthly sales tax reconciliations and monitor sales tax compliance.
  • Collaborate and communicate with external auditors and regulatory authorities as needed.
  • Contribute to process and documentation improvements.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience, preferably in accounting and/or accounts receivable.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within demanding timeframes while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to independently research and resolve tasks with minimal supervision while collaborating when necessary.
  • Experience working on a small team with varied responsibilities and shifting priorities in a hyper-growth environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong Excel, Google Sheets, and G Suite skills.
  • Experience working in a fully remote organization preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Compensation range: $65,000–$75,000 plus bonus and equity.
