Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Take extreme ownership of features and outcomes across the stack, seeing fixes through regardless of where problems occur.
• Navigate and untangle massive, complex systems to solve high-stakes puzzles in a high-traffic production environment.
• Demonstrate flexibility as a "whatever it takes" engineer, jumping in on frontend, infra, or other areas as needed.
• Leverage AI tools daily as a teammate to solve complex problems, write better code, and maintain high quality.
• Provide technical leadership, drive smart technical decisions, and address tech debt proactively.
• Build features across backend services and microfrontends that power Express POS for order fulfillment to the kitchen.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience building software in high-traffic, production environments.
• High proficiency in Golang; ideally also proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience integrating AI into workflows for coding and debugging.
• Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns for building at scale.
• Strong English communication skills (minimum B2 level).
• Ability to own outcomes, navigate ambiguity, and provide technical leadership.

Nice-to-Haves

• Enjoyment of challenges without clear initial answers ("Figure it Out" mindset).
• Full-stack flexibility, including comfort with PHP if needed.
• Experience with AWS, Terraform, or Kubernetes.
• Mentoring mindset with strong code reviews and knowledge sharing.

Compensation

• Base pay range: $123,000 - $175,000/year.
