Product Manager – Business Operations
Own day-to-day roadmap execution for a B2B SaaS product line, partnering with product, engineering, marketing, customer success, and support. Responsibilities
Roadmap Execution & Delivery
- Partner with the VP of Product to execute the product line roadmap.
- Own daily execution, including discovery, story writing, sprint planning, acceptance criteria, and validation.
- Ship clean, on time, and with quality.
Cross-Product Collaboration
- Contribute to integration work between Business Operations and the broader product platform.
- Partner with product managers on adjacent product lines to support portfolio unification.
Distributed Delivery & Engineering Partnership
- Work effectively with a distributed engineering team, including offshore developers.
- Write clear specifications and detailed acceptance criteria.
- Run sprint ceremonies in an async-friendly way.
AI Feature Delivery
- Identify, scope, and ship AI-powered capabilities in the resident journey.
- Explore smarter search, conversational sorting guidance, personalized education, and contamination-reduction features.
Launch & Adoption
- Partner with Marketing, Customer Success, and Support on go-to-market activities.
- Support release readiness, internal enablement, customer communications, and post-launch adoption tracking.
Voice of Customer & Measurement
- Stay close to Support and Customer Success.
- Triage escalations and feed customer signals back into the roadmap.
- Track KPIs such as adoption, engagement, and education effectiveness.
Requirements
- Experience shipping B2B products, with an understanding of engagement, retention, and designing for non-expert end users.
- 2–3+ years in Product Management or Product Ownership in SaaS, with progressive scope and ownership.
- Strong agile fluency, including backlog management, story writing, sprint planning, and prioritization frameworks.
- Experience working with distributed or offshore engineering teams, or strong written clarity and async working habits.
- Strong analytical instincts and comfort with product analytics, experimentation, and metrics-driven prioritization.
- Familiarity with AI and LLM-powered product capabilities, including judgment about where they add meaningful value.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Hands-on fluency with Jira, Confluence, and a product analytics tool such as Pendo, Amplitude, or Mixpanel.
Nice-to-Haves
- Background in civic tech, waste and recycling, utilities, or municipal-adjacent SaaS.
- Experience with behavior-change product design or educational and content-heavy product surfaces.
- Experience contributing to product integration or unification across multiple product lines.
- Experience shipping AI features into a consumer-facing product.
- Familiarity with localization, accessibility, and multi-tenant product configurability.
