AI Search

Last updated: September 6, 2026

In short: Describe the job in plain language, review what Hotfix understood, and refine the results. AI Search uses the live Hotfix job index and requires a free account.

Open AI Search from the Jobs page.

Write the job the way you would describe it:

  • “Senior backend engineer, remote in the United States, around $160k”
  • “Product manager at a B2B SaaS company, remote, mid to senior”

Hotfix reads structured constraints such as function, seniority, location, work type, salary, and named employers. Softer wording can influence ranking without becoming a guaranteed filter.

Your resume is never used to interpret a prompt, retrieve jobs, rank results, or create alert criteria.

Review and refine

The criteria bar shows what Hotfix understood. It is a readout, not a filter panel.

If something is wrong, correct it in the composer: “No consulting,” “More remote,” or “Skip Series A.” Each refinement revises the same search session.

AI Search never invents jobs or companies. It searches the same live listings as standard search.

Limits

Every signed-in account gets:

  • 10 new AI searches per UTC day
  • 5 turns per session: one search and up to four refinements

When the daily allowance is used, return the next day or continue with standard search. Paying for Featured does not change seeker AI limits.

Create an alert

When the results look right, choose Create alert and confirm the Looks for criteria.

The alert uses structured criteria, including named employers that resolve on Hotfix. Soft ranking preferences from the prompt do not become matching rules. Alerts only notify on newly posted jobs after creation.

See Alerts for delivery and management.
