Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop containerized (micro)services for a distributed multi-tenant system that processes data, real-time events, and network telemetry from multiple public clouds to provide real-time insights, visibility, and security recommendations.
• Design services, defend architecture before peers, and deliver rock-solid implementations.
• Mentor junior engineers, new-grads, and interns.
• Own critical features and subsystems through the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements to deployment and customer usage.
• Own operational aspects of the system.
• Ensure code quality with early developer testing, functional/integration testing.
• Partner with Product Management to refine requirements.
• Develop deep understanding of customer problems through stakeholder interactions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent (Master’s a plus).
• 8+ years building distributed & scalable software and systems.
• Passion for software development, constant learning, and teamwork.
• Extensive experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP at the API/programming level.
• Experience in Go and SQL.
• Experience delivering containerized services (platform is Kubernetes-based).
• REST API client experience.
• Unix/Linux programming environment experience.
• General TCP/IP networking knowledge.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with networking and security controls.
• CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible.
