Staff Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop containerized (micro)services for a distributed multi-tenant system processing data, real-time events, and network telemetry from public clouds to provide insights, visibility, and security recommendations.
• Design services, defend architecture with peers, and deliver robust implementations.
• Mentor junior engineers, new-grads, and interns.
• Own critical features and subsystems through the full software development lifecycle, from requirements to deployment.
• Own operational aspects of the system and code quality with early testing.
• Partner with Product Management to refine requirements.

Requirements

• 8+ years building distributed & scalable software and systems.
• Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent (Master’s a plus).
• Passion for software development and continuous learning.
• Extensive experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP at the API/programming level.
• Experience in Go and SQL.
• Kubernetes experience delivering containerized services.
• REST API client experience.
• General TCP/IP networking knowledge.
• Unix/Linux programming environment experience.

Nice-to-Haves

• Networking and security controls experience.
• CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible.
