Sr. Staff Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop containerized (micro)services for a distributed multi-tenant system that processes data, real-time events, and network telemetry from multiple public clouds to provide real-time insights, visibility, and security recommendations.
• Design and architect the platform and subsystems, defend designs before peers, and deliver rock-solid implementations.
• Mentor junior engineers, new-grads, and interns.
• Own critical features and subsystems through the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements to deployment and customer usage.
• Own operational aspects of the system and code quality, including early developer testing and functional/integration testing.
• Partner with Product Management to review, refine, and set product goals.
• Develop deep understanding of customer problems through stakeholder interaction.

Requirements

• Experience: 12+ years building distributed & scalable software and systems.
• Cloud: Extensively used AWS, Azure, or GCP at the API/programming level. Networking and security controls experience beneficial.
• Platform: Kubernetes-based containerized platform experience desired.
• Languages/Tools: Go, SQL, REST API client experience.
• Environment: Unix/Linux programming, general TCP/IP networking knowledge.
