Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of complex technical projects from concept to production, maintaining high standards for performance and reliability.
- Dig deep into architecture to identify opportunities to simplify code and infrastructure, prioritizing changes with measurable business impact.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate workflow, improve code quality, and focus on high-level logic and unconventional problems.
- Act as a mentor and coach, raising the technical bar through PR reviews and architectural guidance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product and design to build the right solutions for users.
Requirements
- Experience with Python, Django, React, Postgres, Kafka (or desire to learn); also Java, gRPC, AWS.
- Ability to break down complex user stories into actionable tasks and execute with minimal guidance.
- Understand the "why" behind code and articulate technical trade-offs to stakeholders.
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Compensation
- Expected cash compensation: $201,875 - $237,500 in Seattle, WA; $212,500 - $250,000 in San Francisco, CA; Santa Clara, CA; New York, NY.
