Senior Manager, Commissioning
Lead commissioning execution and team management for data center projects. Oversee MEP/BMS/EPMS testing, documentation, and turnover while managing Commissioning Managers and Engineers across multiple builds.
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of Commissioning Managers and Engineers, providing direction, support, and professional development across multiple concurrent projects.
- Oversee commissioning execution across a portfolio of data center builds, expansions, and retrofits, holding the team accountable to schedule, quality, and scope.
- Implement and uphold Crusoe's commissioning standards, templates, and workflows to ensure consistency and quality across all projects.
- Oversee third-party commissioning agents and ensure coordination with design, construction, and operations stakeholders from pre-functional testing through turnover.
- Review and approve commissioning documentation including test procedures, scripts, MOPs, and acceptance criteria.
- Ensure integrated system testing and reliability demonstrations for critical MEP, and BMS/EPMS infrastructure are planned and executed to standard.
- Track and report on commissioning progress, milestones, and risks across the portfolio, escalating issues as needed.
- Capture and communicate lessons learned to support continuous improvement of commissioning processes.
- Ensure safety, compliance, and quality control are enforced at every stage of the commissioning lifecycle.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in commissioning data centers, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale infrastructure.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing commissioning teams or programs.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, controls integration (BMS/EPMS), and commissioning best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across different stages of design and construction.
- Experience coordinating with general contractors, OEMs, and third-party commissioning firms.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with a detail-oriented and data-driven approach to execution.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline (PE license or CxA certification a plus).
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required (50% travel).
