About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain reliable mobile infrastructure, including networking, architecture, and UI frameworks (Lyft Product Language).
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (designers, iOS, Web, Mobile Infrastructure) to define mobile UI and architecture future.
- Support Android engineers organization-wide, using feedback to improve roadmaps.
- Introduce ideas to reduce developer friction, refactor codebase for joy and efficiency.
- Stay current with Android development and contribute to open-source like Mobile Native Foundation.
Experience
- Experienced in delivering high-quality code.
- Experience with internal developer productivity teams/projects.
- Strong experience with Kotlin.
- Experience with UIKit, declarative UI, shared components.
- Familiarity with design/prototyping tools (Figma).
- Ability to collaborate in low-ego, cross-functional teams.
- Excited for fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and ownership.
