What You'll Be Working On
Technical Data Architecture
- Define and maintain standards for complex assemblies structure
- Determine logic for "Make vs. Buy" signals, Phantom BOMs, and sub-assemblies partitioning for efficient procurement flow
- Document standards for repeatability, transferability, and auditability
Configuration Management
- Lead strategy for product variations and options
- Ensure ERP logic handles engineering changes and configurations without errors
- Document and version-control configuration rules alongside the product
DFM (Design for Manufacturability) Review
- Audit new engineering releases for manufacturability within the system
- Identify designs affecting supply chain or inventory logic
- Track findings in documented design guidelines to prevent recurrence
Process Design & Documentation
- Develop and own end-to-end process documentation for engineering data in ERP
- Write and maintain SOPs, workflow diagrams, and decision frameworks
Advanced ECO Strategy
- Analyze technical risk of engineering changes
- Determine design cutoff points for production and coordinate transition plans
- Document ECO decision criteria and procedures
Continuous Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and failure points in engineering-to-production workflow
- Drive improvement initiatives through automation, redesign, documentation, or alignment
Data-Driven Process Auditing
- Develop KPIs and automated audits for Item Master and BOM structures
- Find root causes of data errors and re-engineer processes
- Track improvements over time
Cross-Functional Technical Liaison
- Act as primary technical contact for Supply Chain and Production teams
- Translate engineering intent into procurement strategies
- Ensure process changes are communicated and adopted
