About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design HV and LV power systems including DC-DC converters, inverters, motor controllers, battery management, power generation, and distribution
  • Design embedded safety and protection mechanisms across power ranges from 10 kW high-power applications
  • Own full-cycle hardware development: concept, modeling, worst case analysis, schematic capture, simulation, prototyping, design reiteration, testing, and validation
  • Drive PCB layout and design with ECAD engineers, optimizing for power density, EMI, thermal, and manufacturability
  • Design for safety, manufacturability, and reliability
  • Execute board bring up, verification, validation, and HALT testing to meet aerospace standards
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Mechanical, CAD, Embedded, Software, Production, and aircraft teams
  • Lead and contribute to design reviews
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and technical milestones

Requirements

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer
  • Experience with circuit design, schematic capture, component selection, circuit testing, and debugging
  • Familiarity with Altium or equivalent
  • Experience with lab equipment: oscilloscopes, power supplies, E-loads, multimeters
