What You'll Be Working On
Conceptual Design and Analytical Modeling
- Develop analytical models for water and energy consumption
- Develop equipment layouts and flow diagrams for central utility plants
- Prepare equipment bid packages, specs, and review submittals
- Review and select mechanical equipment
Design Review and Coordination
- Review and interpret mechanical design drawings and specifications
- Coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems
- Provide technical input and recommendations for design modifications as needed
Construction Review
- Monitor the installation of piping, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards
- Conduct site visits to track progress, identify potential issues, and resolve conflicts
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality control procedures
Testing and Commissioning
- Analyze test data and identify areas for optimization
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical system issues during commissioning
Vendor and Contractor Management
- Assist in the management of vendor relationships
- Review submitted shop drawings
- Answer RFI’s
What You'll Bring to the Team
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical systems design and construction, preferably in data centers or similar industrial environments
- Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
- Experience with testing and commissioning procedures
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Knowledge of building codes and industry standards
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) is a plus
Bonus Points
- Experience with data center specific mechanical systems
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, or Engineer in Training (EIT)
- Experience with modular construction

Compensation Range
Up to $145,000 - $165,000 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers.
