Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain Android features supporting Fetch Play gameplay and rewards.
  • Collaborate with backend teams and external partners to deliver high-quality user experiences.
  • Integrate partner APIs and marketing technology systems, ensuring accurate and reliable rewards attribution.
  • Optimize shoppability flows for performance and ease of use, reducing friction from product discovery through purchase planning.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to help users find and activate relevant offers.
  • Monitor and improve engagement metrics related to feature adoption and rewards redemption.
  • Work across backend, data, and marketing technology teams to deliver partner integrations and e-commerce capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience developing and releasing Android applications.
  • Strong command of Android fundamentals and modern tools and libraries, including Kotlin, Jetpack, Coroutines, and Jetpack Compose.
  • Experience with unit and UI testing frameworks such as JUnit, Espresso, and Compose Testing.
  • Experience with dependency injection frameworks, including Hilt, Dagger, or similar tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Room or equivalent local persistence solutions.
  • Ability to contribute to architecture, modularization, and component design in a large codebase.
  • Success working on cross-functional teams to ship user-focused features.
  • Strong debugging, profiling, and performance-tuning skills.
  • Effective communication and ability to align technical work with product goals.
  • Collaborative mindset and experience with team-based development.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, propose solutions, and drive outcomes.
  • Willingness to explore and apply AI tools that improve engineering efficiency.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with large, multi-module codebases and scalable architectures.
  • Familiarity with Gradle convention plugins, KSP, or CI/CD pipelines such as Bitrise.
  • Experience building mobile features for rewards, e-commerce, or marketing attribution.
  • Familiarity with geospatial or mapping functionality in mobile applications.
  • Generalist engineering experience, including backend or cross-platform development.
  • Participation in open-source ecosystems or collaborative development communities.
