About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end OT critical infrastructure design, programming, configuration, commissioning, sustainment, and ongoing optimization.
  • Deliver high-availability OT infrastructure for hyperscale cooling and power control systems, including data center facility networks (MDFs/IDFs), industrial control networks, and server rooms with switches, hosts, and virtualization.
  • Provide on-call network infrastructure support for BMS, EPMS, SCADA, PLC, and related systems, including connectivity, addressing, protocol transport, and troubleshooting across Layers 1–4.
  • Design and sustain Juniper fiber and copper networks in OT and facility environments, including EX/QFX series, segmentation, VRFs, and integration with industrial control networks.
  • Design, implement, and secure OT networks and communications while driving robust segmentation, monitoring, and cybersecurity practices.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, structural, facilities operations, IT/OT networking, and construction teams to integrate control systems with campus infrastructure.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement of OT systems to maximize availability and operational resilience.
  • Respond to field issues, design reviews, RFIs, and operational needs while maintaining documentation, change control, and design intent.
  • Identify and implement solutions in industrial automation, advanced monitoring, predictive analytics readiness, and standardized control architectures.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians and improve OT design, programming, and mission-critical facilities standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Controls, OT, or Automation Engineer in data centers, semiconductor fabs, power plants, heavy industrial environments, or other mission-critical facilities.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and sustaining OT infrastructure for BMS, EPMS, SCADA, and related control systems.
  • Systems administration experience with virtualization platforms, Juniper networks, and SQL databases.
  • Experience hardening and monitoring OT servers, including RAID, UPS-backed systems, and isolated management planes.
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols and OT network design and segmentation.
  • Familiarity with OT cybersecurity principles, secure remote access, VLANs, VRFs, firewalls, jump hosts, and monitoring.
  • Experience supporting commissioning of major mechanical and electrical systems in data centers or industrial plants.
  • Proven cross-functional collaboration skills with mechanical, electrical, facilities operations, construction, and networking teams.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and work extended hours or non-standard shifts when needed to support critical operations and deployments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Juniper EX/QFX experience.
  • Ignition SCADA or Siemens TIA Portal programming experience.
  • Experience with predictive analytics readiness and standardized control architectures.
