Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own quality strategy across multiple products and engineering teams.
• Design, build, and maintain automated test suites for web applications, APIs, backend services, and integrations.
• Develop scalable, maintainable testing frameworks integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Partner with software engineers during feature development to identify quality risks early.
• Define test plans, acceptance criteria, and release readiness for new product initiatives.
• Perform exploratory, functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Drive automation-first testing practices while minimizing manual regression testing.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to ensure requirements are testable and complete.
• Monitor production quality metrics and investigate customer-reported issues with Engineering.
• Review test automation code, promote quality metrics, and drive continuous process improvements.
• Mentor engineers on testing best practices and help build a culture of shared quality ownership.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering.
• Experience building automated testing frameworks for modern SaaS applications.
• Experience testing REST APIs and microservice-based architectures.
• Experience with YAML-based testing.
• Proficiency with one or more automation frameworks, such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Ability to write automated tests in TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Java, or C#.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration.
• Experience with Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and modern software development practices.
• Familiarity with SQL and validating data across relational databases.
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Experience testing AI or machine-learning-enabled applications.
• Experience with healthcare software or regulated environments.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with performance, load, or security testing.
• Experience testing workflow automation platforms or enterprise SaaS products.
• Exposure to observability platforms such as Datadog or Grafana.
• Experience working in fast-paced startup environments.
