Responsibilities
Complete technical ownership of next-generation product from design concept to manufacturing release, meeting performance, reliability, cost, and schedule targets.
Lead mechanical design, analysis, and development of components around micro-electronics, industrial design, product requirements, and manufacturing constraints.
Create SolidWorks CAD models for simulation, prototyping, and mass production.
Generate technical documentation: 3D files, 2D drawings, BOMs, ECOs.
Collaborate across teams to align requirements and resolve issues.
Drive DFM coordination with vendors for scalable production.
Partner with suppliers on materials and design concepts.
Design testing protocols, validation plans, and root cause analyses.
Mentor engineers and travel internationally up to 20%.
Qualifications
BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
10+ years experience in design, documentation, and validation of complex mechanical parts for medium to high-volume consumer electronics.
5+ yearsSolidWorks CAD with advanced assemblies and DFx integration.
5+ years CAE tools (FEA - static/dynamic, thermal simulation).
5+ years working with Tier 1/2 contract manufacturers in Asia/North America.
Experience with injection molding, die castings, MIM, CIM, high-volume automated processes.
Key role in launching 3+ products; full product development process knowledge.
Six Sigma statistical methods (RSS tolerance, CPK).
Strong communication, organization in fast-paced teams.
