About the role
Responsibilities
Partner with engineering teams to build optimized software development lifecycles for speed, safety, and reliability across front-end UI and stateful storage systems
Deploy AI tools like Claude Code to the engineering team and build agents for on-call response and automated bug triage
Manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform and Google Kubernetes Engine including Terraform, cost management, networking, and security
Own Kubernetes service standards for deployment, observability, and developer experience; facilitate version upgrades and GKE feature adoption
Maintain observability pipelines with 30M+ Prometheus metrics and OpenTelemetry ingesting 4B+ tracing spans monthly
Maintain GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines and GitHub-native delivery processes
Maintain devbox system for provisioning cloud development environments
Procure and manage SaaS tooling relationships (GitHub, Honeycomb, Chronosphere, Sentry)
Run new engineer onboarding process
Requirements
3+ years of industry experience
Experience with at least one of: Go, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
Production experience with Kubernetes
Production experience managing infrastructure in a major cloud provider (preferably Google Cloud Platform)
Knowledgeable about coding agents like Claude Code
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with observability solutions (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Distributed Tracing)
Experience with service mesh
Excellent documentation skills
Proficient with GitHub Actions and GitHub ecosystem
Experience building deployment pipelines and GitOps
Bazel expertise
Experience with Terraform
Experience with cloud IAM systems and security best practices
