Chief Compliance Officer
Designs and leads CFTC DCM compliance program from scratch for sports prediction market platform. Partners with engineering, product, security, and finance to embed regulations into operations; manages regulator interactions and examinations. Requires deep CFTC expertise.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, monitor, document, and continuously enhance a scalable CFTC DCM compliance program.
- Serve as primary internal owner of the compliance framework, identify issues, recommend solutions, and escalate to Chief Regulatory Officer.
- Manage regulatory examinations, audits, and inquiries, including preparation, coordination, and regulator engagement.
- Partner cross-functionally with Information Security, Surveillance, Finance, Legal, Engineering, and Product to embed regulatory requirements into systems and workflows.
- Support regulatory initiatives, future expansion (e.g., DCO Core Principle compliance), and represent the organization externally with regulators, policymakers, and industry participants.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in CFTC DCM Core Principles.
- Experience directly managing regulatory examinations, audits, and inquiries.
- Ability to thrive in hands-on leadership with cross-functional collaboration and real decision-making authority.
Compensation & Benefits
- $275k – $325k base salary.
