About the role

Responsibilities

  • Ship frontend products from 0→1 through production and iterate based on user feedback, support threads, usage data, and direct conversations.
  • Own the frontend quality pipeline, including type safety, linting, formatting, unit and component tests, API contract tests, accessibility checks, visual regression testing, and bundle-size budgets.
  • Add durable checks for regressions so bugs caught once are prevented from recurring.
  • Work end-to-end across frontend UI, API contracts, preview deployments, and observability.
  • Operate autonomously in an open, public codebase.

Requirements

  • Track record of launching a real product from 0→1 and iterating based on user behavior.
  • Strong frontend fundamentals and React experience.
  • Experience with TypeScript and modern frontend concepts including SSR, streaming, server components, and edge computing.
  • Quality and tooling mindset, with experience designing CI checks and pipelines.
  • Experience with Vitest, Playwright, MSW, or equivalent tools.
  • Comfort reviewing and guiding AI coding agents and establishing guardrails for their work.
  • Strong written communication, autonomy, and ability to work asynchronously.
