Responsibilities
Build test automation and Python/Bash tooling, including CLI applications with cmd2, pytest test infrastructure, and hardware driver libraries.
Develop test frameworks that interact with physical hardware.
Build and scale infrastructure for hardware test labs with hundreds of test benches and thousands of daily jobs.
Diagnose and fix flaky integration tests in production CI.
Debug embedded hardware and software, including logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, basic circuits, JTAG debuggers, and embedded target bring-up.
Build on-target software for firmware and embedded systems that interact with PC-side applications.
Apply modern continuous integration and hardware-in-the-loop concepts.
Administer Linux systems, including networking, udev, kernel modules, and systemd, preferably on bare-metal machines.
Requirements
4+ years of experience as a software engineer.
At least 2 years of experience working on system architecture and implementation.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency with Python, Bash, Linux command line, and hardware/software debugging.
Experience building and scaling hardware test infrastructure.
Nice to Have
CI/CD pipeline design with Buildkite, Jenkins, or similar tools.
Experience with self-hosted runners on physical machines.
Bazel or monorepo experience in large codebases.
Familiarity with CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, FlexRay bus tooling, and SocketCAN.
Strong Nix/NixOS experience, including flakes, modules, derivations, fixed-output fetches, and VM tests.
Experience with JLINK, Lauterbach, or similar JTAG debuggers.
