Software Engineer, Optimized Checkout & Link

What you’ll do

• Work with a wide range of systems, processes and technologies to own and solve problems from end-to-end.
• Craft new products and features that impact millions of people and businesses around the world. Explore creative opportunities for next-gen payments experiences that leverage the depth of Stripe's payment technology.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization such as product, design, infrastructure, marketing, and operations.
• Develop and execute against both short- and long-term roadmaps.
• Make effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation.
• Uphold our high engineering standards and bring consistency to the many codebases and processes you will encounter.

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field, plus 3 years of experience in software development.
• 3 years of experience in each of the following:
  • Programming Languages Ruby and Java.
  • Javascript or Typescript.
  • Designing, building, and maintaining robust, versioned RESTful or GraphQL APIs that support both internal and external consumers.
  • Working with NoSQL databases including Mongo.
  • Automated testing practices, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, to uphold high engineering standards and code quality.
  • Development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of software products and features.

Compensation

• Base salary: $161,637 - $213,800 /yr (any sales commissions or bonuses would be in addition).
• Additional benefits may include: equity, company bonus, 401(k) plan, medical/dental/vision benefits, wellness stipends.
• 40 hrs/week, 100% telecommuting permitted.
