About the role
Key Responsibilities
Own the end to end management of the social content calendar for @ForaTravel and @ForaCommunity, including planning, scheduling, publishing, and ongoing optimization across Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Facebook, X, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
Translate brand campaigns and editorial content into platform specific executions that align with channel best practices and overall brand strategy.
Manage day to day community engagement, including responding to direct messages and comments, engaging with advisor content, participating in relevant cultural moments, and helping establish a consistent and distinctive brand voice across platforms.
Ideate, capture, edit, and publish short form video and visual content using tools such as Canva, Figma, CapCut, Adobe, and other creative platforms.
Collaborate with designers, editors, production, and external partners to bring social first concepts to life.
Support cross functional alignment by working closely with content, PR, partnerships, and production teams to ensure social initiatives support broader company goals.
Maintain organized workflows in tools such as Airtable and Dash Social, ensuring clear processes, strong attention to detail, and consistent execution.
Participate in content capture on location as needed, including occasional travel and weekend coverage for real time events or timely content opportunities.
Contribute to advisor education by supporting social media trainings and office hours focused on best practices and platform updates.
Requirements
2+ years of full time experience managing social media for a brand or agency, with direct ownership of publishing and community management.
Demonstrated experience creating short form video and visual content, supported by a portfolio of work.
Proficiency with social scheduling and analytics tools such as Dash Social, along with experience using Airtable or similar project management platforms.
Strong skills in content creation, basic graphic design, video editing, and visual storytelling.
Experience managing community engagement across multiple social platforms.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines simultaneously.
Clear and proactive communication skills, with comfort collaborating across teams and external partners.
Ability to work in the United States and be based in or willing to relocate to New York City.
Willingness to travel occasionally and work periodic weekends as needed.
Strongly Preferred
Experience working with travel, lifestyle, or design focused brands.
Knowledge of the travel industry or experience as a travel advisor.
Familiarity with paid social, influencer marketing, or brand partnerships.
A strong personal interest in travel and digital culture with a sharp instinct for tone and storytelling that aligns with Fora’s fun, approachable and polished voice.
