Maintenance Manager

About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage and perform routine maintenance on manufacturing and facilities equipment, including cleaning, calibrations, inspections, testing, etc.
  • Manage and perform reactive maintenance as needed.
  • Develop and execute improvement initiatives for minimizing equipment downtime, improving team efficiency, etc.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for production staff on all facilities and maintenance issues.
  • Assist the Facilities and Safety Manager in managing various site projects, including meeting with contractors and performing administrative work.
  • Manage assembly and moving of furniture and equipment as needed.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a facilities and/or manufacturing maintenance leadership role.
  • Experience with development of preventive maintenance schedules and familiarity with CMMS systems.
  • Understanding of basic safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Understanding of basic building code requirements.
  • Basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills.
  • Basic finish skills, including paint and drywall.
  • Ability to read and interpret building plans.
  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds, work within a confined space, climb ladders, and perform other physical tasks.
  • Ability to work occasional overtime/weekends as needed to support production goals and equipment shutdowns.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the English language.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with automation equipment and/or PLCs.
  • Certifications in any facilities discipline, particularly mechanical, electrical, or plumbing.
  • First aid/CPR certification.
  • Forklift experience/certification.
